Epic Universe
As an in-house Graphic Designer at MinaLima (London, UK), I contributed to the creation of a large amount of artwork for the exteriors and interiors of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe. Set in 1910s–1920s Wizarding Paris, this project involved expanding the graphic language first seen in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018). I was part of the design process from initial concept through to completion over a two-year period.

The brief
To create the largest graphic for ‘Harry Potter Ministry of Magic’ in Epic Universe, which is 32’ 6” tall by 23’ 9” wide (10m x 7m).
The graphic needed to show a perfume advertisement for ‘Divine Magic’, an existing brand within the Harry Potter Universe, which was seen in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (2009).
The challenge
Since the graphic is so large, it can be seen from far away in Epic Universe, apart from the bottom section of artwork, which is covered with trees. So it needed to look like an ordinary perfume advertisement from far away, but look like a magical one after entering the land.
